Colorado Election Ballots Hit The Mail

DENVER (AP) - It's Election Day in Colorado - for the next three weeks.

Midterm election ballots are hitting the mail Tuesday. All registered voters are supposed to receive them, and voters have until 7 p.m. on Nov. 4 to return them.

Tuesday is also the last day to submit an application to register to vote through a voter registration drive.

Voters can still vote in person if they prefer, and voting centers generally open by next week.

Colorado is voting for U.S. Senate and governor, along with congressional and local legislative races.

Voters also have four ballot measures to consider, including one that would require labels on genetically modified foods and another that would add "unborn children" to the state criminal code.
