Trooper: Colorado Man Killed In Nebraska Wreck
SUTHERLAND, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska authorities say a man has died in Lincoln County after crashing his car head-on into a semitrailer.
The Nebraska State Patrol says 49-year-old Casey Shannon of Colorado was killed Saturday night. Troopers say he was driving down Interstate 80 near Sutherland when he crossed over the median.
They say Shannon hit the semitrailer head-on and was pronounced dead at the scene. He wasn't wearing a seat belt.
The semi caught fire. Its 23-year-old driver escaped uninjured.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
