Boulder Police Search For Suspect Accused Of Assaulting 2 Men

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Boulder are searching for an assault suspect who left a man lying in a pool of his own blood.

Police were called to Cosmos Pizza located at 1325 Broadway Street about 2 a.m. on Sept. 14 on reports of an assault.

When officers arrived they found an unconscious man lying in the middle of the parking lot in a pool of blood. He regained consciousness a short time later.

Witnesses told police that a verbal altercation incurred between the victim and suspect when the victim accidentally bumped into him in line. The suspect first walked away but then returned and struck the victim in the face. The victim left the area.

Witnesses told police the victim's friend approached the suspect and confronted him in the parking lot. The suspect then struck and kicked the second victim until he was knocked out. The suspect then ran away.

The suspect is described as a white male, 6-foot-3, with a thin beard and mustache and long hair. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt at the time of the assault.
