DENVER (CBS4) – Firefighters found two dead people in north Denver on Thursday after receiving a call from someone complaining of chest pains.

Firefighters found one body when they arrived but couldn’t continue searching the location because dogs on the property posed a hazard, the Denver Fire Department said.

After Denver police secured the area, fire crews found a second body inside a building in the 5000 north block of Lincoln Street.

Family members who lit candles in vigil at the home said the two deceased were a husband and wife in their 50s.

Police gathered evidence at the home but said the deaths weren’t suspicious.

“We are not looking for any suspects at this time,” Denver police Sgt. Steve Warneke said.

The fire department said earlier that carbon monoxide poisoning was likely not a factor in the deaths.
