CSU-Pueblo Beats Sam Houston State 47-21

HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) - Chris Bonner threw three touchdowns in Colorado State-Pueblo's 47-21 victory over Sam Houston State on Saturday night.

Bonner was 20 of 32 and 255 yards for the Division II Thunderwolves (2-0). His favorite targets were Paul Browning and Jarred Radebaugh who combined for three touchdown receptions. Cameron McDondle carried 14 times for 116 yards and two touchdowns.

Greg O'Donnell added four field goals for the Thunderwolves.

CSU-Pueblo had a 41-0 lead with just over seven minutes to go in the third period when the Bearkats' Jared Johnson took it in from 9 yards for his team's first score.

Down 47-7 late in the fourth, the Bearkats (1-3) rallied on a 1-yard touchdown run by Keshawn Hill followed by a 17-yard TD pass from replacement QB Don King III to Hill to help close the gap.

King was 5 of 7 for 74 yards. Johnson was 14 of 26 for 72 yards.
