Runners Get To Try Out New Marathon Course
DENVER (CBS4) In the 5th year of the Rock 'n' Roll Denver Marathon & ½ , organizers have changed up the course. The new course goes around Sloan's Lake in west Denver. On Wednesday, September 3rd , runners can check out this new course section in a free fun run.
"The benefit of that is just to know when you're on race day…what the turns are going to feel like, the elevations going to feel like, and kind of that idea of the feel of people running around with you. And just getting yourself excited about race day," said event manager, Sarah Swiss.
The run kicks off from The Cooler Bar in Edgewater at 6pm. There will be 3 and 6 mile distances, fun music, and an opportunity to get a discount for signing up for the Rock 'n' Roll Denver Marathon & ½ on October 19th.
