Sheriff: Durango Boy Drowns In New Mexico Lake
AZTEC, N.M. (AP) - Authorities in northwestern New Mexico say a Colorado boy drowned while on a family outing to celebrate his birthday.
The San Juan County Sheriff's Office says 6-year-old Christian Korte of Durango could not be revived after he was found floating in Navajo Lake on Saturday.
The Sheriff's Office says the boy's family was camping at the lake to celebrate his birth the day before.
