Mother Charged With Leaving Baby Alone In Bathtub

DENVER (CBS4)- A woman accused of leaving her baby alone in a bathtub is facing serious child abuse charges.

Alexis Duron-Deluna, 25, has been charged with child abuse with serious bodily injury.

The 11-month old child was rushed to the hospital after she was found underwater and not breathing in the bathtub. The charge alleges the baby was in the care of Duron-Deluna when this occurred.

Duron-Deluna remains in custody on $50,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court on Aug. 11 at 9:30 a.m. for her second advisement on the charge.
