Lakewood Beating Suspect Captured In Texas

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Texas captured a man wanted by police in Lakewood believed to have beaten a man so severely he was left in a coma.

Charlie Robert Brammeier, 30, was captured by authorities in Hartley County, Texas.

Police believe Brammeier robbed and beat his victim Monday at a home in the 1200 block of South Pierce Street.

The victim is in the hospital fighting for his life. His roommate said he was beaten with a flashlight.

Police Brammeier and the victim are acquaintances.

Brammeier was wanted in connection with that robbery and beating as well as resisting arrest.

He was driving the silver Toyota Tacoma when he was captured. It was one of two vehicles he was believed to be driving while on the run.

It is unknown when Brammeier will return to Colorado.
