Suspect Escapes From Handcuffs, Steals Police Cruiser
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- A man escaped from handcuffs and stole the police cruiser he was being held in before he crashed and was arrested once again.
Dustin Guinn was arrested Tuesday in Colorado Springs for an outstanding warrant.
Police said he managed to escape from handcuffs and crawl through the dividing window in the police car. Then he drove away.
It didn't take police long to catch up to him after he ended up crashing the cruiser a few minutes later.
Guinn is expected to face motor vehicle theft charges,
Investigators also believe he may have been under the influence of drugs.
