Beagle Missing For 7 Weeks Reunited With Owner

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — A 4-year-old beagle mix that was struck by a car in Boulder is back with its owner in Fort Collins after going missing for seven weeks.

Boulder police say "TJ" the beagle suffered severe injuries after being hit by a car, and he may need to have one of his legs partially amputated, but he is back with his owner.

TJ's owner, David Snyder, says he had posted flyers when the dog went missing and contacted Fort Collins Animal Control and the local humane society. Snyder even got calls from people who spotted TJ but who couldn't catch him.

Boulder Animal Control also began receiving calls about a dog on the loose recently, but they also couldn't trap TJ.

After the accident, TJ's implanted microchip provided information about his owner.
