Castle Rock Town Rec. Center Will Reopen Friday After Storm Damage

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (CBS4)- The Town Recreation Center in Castle Rock will reopen on Friday after severe storms caused damage to the building. Wednesday's storms brought tornadoes, heavy rain, hail and strong winds to Colorado.

Copter4 flew over the facility where metal sheeting was ripped off the roof when a microburst struck the building.

Inside a gas line was damaged which cut off hot water to the pool and showers on Thursday.

That gas line was repaired and all pool classes will continue as scheduled for Friday. Hot water will be restored to the locker rooms and showers.

Some gym amenities may be restricted because of damage sustained in the storm.

Anyone with questions about services can call the Town Rec. Center front desk at 303-660-1036.

Several communities east of Denver suffered severe hail damage. Five tornadoes were confirmed in the Denver metro area but no major damage was reported.
