Denver Police Search For Attempted Kidnapper

DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Denver are searching for a man who tried to kidnap a girl while she walked near a church.

On Thursday, the juvenile female was walking near a church at 13101 E. 51st Avenue when the suspect emerged from the bushes and grabbed her from behind.

The suspect then tried to drag the victim backward with him but she was able to break free and ran away from the area.

The suspect left on foot in an unknown direction.

The victim is described as a Hispanic male, possibly in his mid-30s, about 6-foot tall, wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt.
