Homicide Is First Major Crime In Frisco In Many Years
FRISCO, Colo. (CBS4) - A late night altercation in the high country ended with a long time local dead, but police say they're still not exactly sure what happened.
The death is the first major crime in the small town of Frisco in years.
"We're investigating this as a homicide," 5th Judicial District Attorney Bruce Brown said.
Long-time Copper Mountain Chef Blake Bostic was found dead Monday morning. Police say they have one man in custody.
The incident occurred at a small motel near a back alley.
"Frisco Police Department has taken the reins on this and we should have charges forthcoming in the near future," Brown said.
Neighbors told CBS4's Jeff Todd they didn't hear anything around 2:30 a.m. but were awoken by the emergency vehicles that filled the alley.
So far the coroner has not released an official cause of death. An autopsy is planned for Tuesday.
"That will give us many more clues as to what exactly happened," Brown said.
