Police Searching For Women Stealing From Hospitals

DENVER (CBS4) – The search is on for two women that police say are stealing from hospitals in the Denver metro area.

Authorities are hoping somebody will recognize them from surveillance photos before they do it again.

Police say the alleged thieves also stole personal belongings from staff at an Aurora hospital then using those items to steal even more.

Captured on camera a pair of women were seen inside two metro area hospitals.

"Highly concerning, you have individuals who have found some way to get into the area they shouldn't be in," said Denver Police Department spokesman Sonny Jackson.

On March 25, authorities say the women made their way into the Medical Center of Aurora stealing wallets and credit cards from employees.

The next day Denver Police say those same women did the same thing inside a doctor's office at the Porter Adventist Hospital.

"They took these two wallets, they were able to take items out of the wallets then go to a bank to use the credit cards to obtain cash," said Jackson.

In both cases a third woman used the stolen credit cards to make pricey purchases totaling thousands of dollars.

Both Denver and Aurora police are investigating and are asking anyone with information to please contact them.
