Students Expelled After Passing Out Pot Candy At School

WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4)- Two students who brought marijuana edibles to a middle school in Adams County have been expelled.

More than a dozen students were involved in the incident at Shaw Heights Middle School near Westminster.

The school district said last month, one of the students brought the candies that were about the size of a Tootsie Roll.

Investigators said several students ate marijuana candies and later appeared high in class.

In addition to the expulsions, 12 other students were suspended.
