12 Colorado Cities, Towns Vote On Marijuana

DENVER (AP) - Voters in 12 Colorado cities and towns are deciding marijuana issues in municipal elections.

They're being asked whether to allow recreational marijuana shops within their borders and whether to tax the drug.

Town councilors in Palmer Lake, north of Colorado Springs, voted to ban pot sales but then decided to put the issue to voters instead. The Gazette reports that voters have been casting mail-in ballots there since late March.
