Unique Sweatshirt Design Thief Strikes Again In Fort Collins

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)- The burglary suspect who has a unique design on his sweatshirt was caught ripping off another small business in Fort Collins. Investigators hope someone recognizes their man in the surveillance video before he strikes again.

The thief was originally seen on surveillance video taken on Jan. 19 when the Beaver's Market surveillance system caught someone dressed in dark clothing, rummaging through the store.

About an hour before the break-in at Beaver's Market in Old Town Fort Collins, the suspect was captured on surveillance video at the Aggie Theater.

First he walks up to the theater, looks around and then uses a crowbar to break in, just like at the market.

Aggie Theater owner Scoo Leary said the man stole more than $1,000 cash.

"We're a small town business, people just trying to make a living, when I heard he went there at 5:30 in the morning I thought that's so sketchy, we probably need to get to the bottom of this," said Leary.

Investigators say although just a few frames show the man's face, it's the unique markings on chest and sleeve of the hooded sweatshirt that are getting a lot of attention.

Business owners are teaming up to offer a $1,000 reward to anyone who can provide information leading to an arrest.
