Traffic Stop Leads To Child Prostitution Case Out Of Lakewood

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - Three people have been arrested for allegedly forcing a teenager into prostitution.

Roger Miguel McLamb, 35; Susan Asha Johnson, 23; and Tracy Lynn Wilson, 33; were all taken into custody in Lakewood earlier this week.

Investigators say the suspects let a 15-year-old live Wilson's home and gave her clothing in exchange for having sex with strangers, who paid the suspects.

McLamb and Johnson also lived in Wilson's home located in the 11300 block of West Florida Avenue. The teen lived in the basement with McLamb.

According to court records, the encounters would take place at different motels and were solicited through Backpage.com and other online escort sites.

"The teen estimated that she earned $1,000 a week. All the money was given to McLamb," Pam Russell with the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office said in a statement.

"These cases are very complex. Young victims, such as the teen in this case, often believe the pimp loves them and will take care of them," said First Judicial District Attorney Pete Weir. "Living under these conditions a child loses the ability to differentiate between love and exploitation."

The case was discovered when police pulled over a car in which the teen was a passenger.

"They found that she had a probation violation warrant outstanding," Russell said. "They took the teen into custody."

Because officers thought the teen was a runaway, they contacted the FBI's Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Innocence Lost Task Force.
