Elderly Man Accused In Fatal Hit & Run Appears In Court
DENVER (CBS4) – An elderly man accused of driving off after running down a woman crossing the street appeared in court on Monday.
The woman was hit and killed last month at Colorado Boulevard and Exposition Avenue. Investigators found the car soon after the crash but didn't arrest the suspected driver until a few weeks later.
Marshall Smith, 85, was formally charged Monday with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
