FORT LUPTON, Colo. (CBS4) – Police in Fort Lupton would like the public’s help locating an attempted abduction suspect.

According to police, on Thursday morning at approximately 7:13 a.m. they received a call reporting an attempted child abduction near Fort Lupton High School located at 530 Reynolds Street.

The 14-year-old female victim told officers a white man got out of a vehicle and walked towards her in the south parking lot of the high school.

“The male pushed her against a fence telling her to “be quiet,’” police said in a statement.

Police said the girl began to punch the man and hit him in the face. The man then fled.

The victim described the suspect as tall and thin, approximately 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing a dark colored beanie hat, a dark colored coat and dark colored jeans. He spoke with a deep voice.

The suspect’s vehicle was described as a light colored station wagon or SUV with a hatchback, tinted windows and possibly an altered suspension lowered to the ground.
