Colin MacMutrie lives downtown and knows one of the assault victims.

"He was jumped by some people and woke up in the hospital and his wallet was empty," said MacMutrie.

With each new violent attack, downtown residents appear to become a little more uneasy.

"For a few days I was carrying some form of protection, thinking about what you would do in the event someone out of the blue attacked you," said MacMutrie.

The fact that so many attacks are happening downtown is scaring people who hang out and work there.

"It's scary and it does make me concerned about walking downtown," said downtown resident Ginger Conroy.

The most recent attack happened in Denver resident Al Conroy's neighborhood.

"It sounds like these people aren't necessarily looking for trouble until it happens. That's the scariest part for me," said Conroy.

Victims describe the attacks as random and the violence is setting some residents on edge.

"I worry about the girls that work for me, the girls that work here, walking home so late at night," said a Denver restaurant manager.

Authorities have not said that the attacks are connected.

Police are asking anyone with information on any of the attacks to please contact them.
