GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4)- An accountant from Fort Collins was sentenced on Tuesday for stealing from her former employer.

Jennifer Choury was sentenced in Weld County District Court to nine years in prison and $300,000 in restitution.

An additional 23 counts of theft, forgery, money laundering and identity theft were dismissed.

Choury, 42, pleaded guilty to one count of theft in a plea agreement that stipulated the prison sentence and restitution.

A Weld County Grand Jury indicted Choury in February in the thefts from Martin Lind and his companies, Trollco Inc., Pelican Lakes LLC, Vima Partners LLC and Water Valley Land Company LLC.

Most of the agreed upon restitution, $208,075 will be paid to Trollco with the rest going to insurance companies.

According to the indictment Choury sent 54 different email requests for money withdrawls to the company bank, logged into her employer's email account to falsely authorize the transactions then deleted evidence of the emails.

The indictment also states that Choury kept $8,500 from the sale of a 2000 Ford Excursion limousine owned by the company and forged $18,500 worth of checks on her employer's personal account then laundered them through a nonprofit Lacrosse organization for which she was treasurer.
