Denver Police Say Man Tried To Sexually Assault Woman At Bus Stop

DENVER (CBS4) – Police in Denver would like the public's help locating a suspect in an attempted sexual assault near a bus stop.

According to police, at approximately 10:35 p.m. Wednesday a woman got off a bus near South Monaco Parkway and East Iliff Avenue and was approached by a man who threw her to the ground and took her cellphone and money.

"The suspect then attempted to sexually assault the victim who was able to fight him off and the suspect ran away," police said in a statement.

The suspect is described as a tall black man. He was wearing a two-tone hat and had a tattoo on the side of his neck.
