Colorado Rockies Co-Owner Pleads Guilty To DUI

GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4)- Colorado Rockies co-owner Charlie Monfort has pleaded guilty to DUI.

Monfort appeared in Weld County Court on Friday morning where he pleaded guilty to the drunk driving charge.

Monfort was arrested in November 2013 in Windsor.

A judge sentenced him to two years of supervised probation that includes alcohol treatment, public service and home monitoring.

Monfort apologized and said he is getting help for his drinking problem.

"I'm deeply sorry for my action, I feel terrible about it and I apologize to those close to me and really the whole state it affected and I can guarantee you won't see me here on these steps again," said Monfort.

As part of his sentencing Monfort will be required to take two breathalizer tests a day to make sure he's not drinking. It's part of a six-month recovery program.
