Colorado Unemployment Rate Falls To 6.5 Percent

DENVER (AP) — The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment says Colorado's unemployment rate has dropped to its lowest rate in five years.

The department said Friday the 6.5 percent jobless rate for November is the lowest since it hit 6.1 percent in December 2008.

The largest month-over-month job decreases were in leisure and hospitality and financial services.

Job increases were reported in education and health services, manufacturing and trade, transportation and utilities.

The national unemployment rate in November was 7 percent.
