Advances In Technology Makes New Warren Miller Film A Masterpiece

DENVER (CBS4) - Ski season is here and it's not just the snowflakes that give it away. There's also the latest movie from Warren Miller Entertainment.

"Warren Miller is like the first robin of spring, but in November. The latest Warren Miller movie appears -- and two things are evident -- it's ski season, and there's more spectacular skiing on screen to ramp up your downslope enthusiasm," CBS4 Critic at Large Greg Moody said.

The latest exploration of mountainsides is entitled "Ticket 2 Ride" and carries all the hallmarks that have made Miller films must see autumn events -- spectacular scenery, amazing athletics and phenomenal photography.

The advent of digital and high definition cameras -- smaller and smaller -- have made camera placement and the stomach dropping shot possibilities all the greater. It's a far cry from back in the 1950s when Miller used to draw these things on cave walls.

"Even though Miller is no longer involved in the company that bears his name, the spirit that made the anticipation of past seasons come alive is still with us and has a six show run," Moody said.

The first showing will be Thursday, Nov. 21 at the Paramount Theater and it runs through Saturday. Tickets are available through Tickethorse.com, but they will go very quickly.
