Woman Who Allegedly Set Car On Fire Downtown Faces Arson Charge
DENVER (CBS4) - A woman who said she set her car on fire in the middle of downtown Denver because she had a problem with the sheriff's department has been formally charged with arson.
Prosecuters say Anastasia Gordeeva set her rental car on fire in front of the Wellington Webb Municipal Building last week by igniting a blanket in the back seat. She told witnesses she was upset with the Denver Sheriff's department.
Gordeeva was in the Denver County Jail on Wednesday night, with her bond set at $5,000.
She is set to appear in court on Friday on a second degree arson charge.
