WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (CBS4) - Clients of a Wheat Ridge health clinic may have lost their money after the company disappeared.

A sign outside of the Better Life Weight Loss Clinic on the 10,000 block of 50th Avenue says the company has moved to a new office on 52nd Avenue and Kipling Street. However, so far the new location is empty.

All calls to the number given reach an answering machine.

Sunny is one of the company's clients who asked that CBS4 not use her last name. She says she enjoyed the program and had just renewed a four month program for $500 which included vitamin and hunger suppressant injections. When she showed up for her weekly appointment the clinic had disappeared.

"The doors are closed, there's no furniture, no computers, nothing," said Sunny.

She has called the number given several times but gotten no response.

Megan Herrera, a spokeswoman for the Better Business Bureau, says the BBB has been investigating a previous complaint against the company.

"It's odd to say we're at another address and not be there. It's also odd to say please call us and not return any calls," said Herrera.

Herrera told CBS4 the company has not responded to the BBB's questions.

She hopes the company will eventually show up at a new location.

"It's very disappointing and discouraging to be treated this way," said Sunny.
