Supermax Corrections Officers Not Getting Paid, Prisoners Receive Checks

FLORENCE, Colo. (CBS4)- Corrections officers at the Supermax prison in Florence are not receiving paychecks because of the government shutdown but prisoners are.

Prisoners who have jobs at the maximum security prison receive $5 to $200 a month.

The fund that covers prisoners has not been affected.

But the pay has been suspended for the 600 corrections officers working in the Federal Correctional Complex.
