'Operation Warm' Hands Out New Winter Coats To Students
DENVER (CBS4)- Hundreds of elementary school students received the gift of warmth with brand new winter coats.
"Operation Warm" handed out more than 500 coats at Rose Hill Elementary in Commerce City.
The organization said 90 percent of the children at the school are on a free or reduced meal program.
For many this was their first new coat ever.
"Operation Warm" is a collaboration between Operation Warm, a national non-profit focused on providing new winter coats to children in need, and Broomfield-based WhiteWave Foods.
