DENVER (CBS4) – The Colorado Rockies have begun construction on a brand new “party deck” at Coors Field.

They’re removing all the upper-deck seats in right field and come next spring Coors Field will have the largest rooftop patio in all of Denver and all of sports stadiums, according to the Rockies.

The deck will have a “LoDo” theme that includes spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains.

“We are always striving to improve the entire experience at Coors Field,” Rockies owner Dick Monfort said in a statement. “With that spirit in mind, it is exciting to add to our lower downtown ballpark the largest rooftop deck in sports, featuring two levels with more than 38,000 square feet.”
