Young Flood Victims Get Help From Oregon Duck Fans

LYONS, Colo. (CBS4) - Young flood victims got some help from the Oregon Ducks fans who are in town to go to the University of Colorado-Oregon football game.

The fans assembled backpacks for school children in Lyons. They filled them with school supplies but there were also some Oregon gifts in there as well.

"Nike got wind of it and Nike has donated 200 of the 250 backpacks and also 200 $20 gift cards," an Oregon fan said. "So an extra $4,000 worth of shoes for the kids or (physical education) clothes or whatever they might need."

The children expressed their thanks for the backpacks.
