Man Found With 121 Dogs Gets 2 Years Probation

WATKINS, Colo. (CBS4) - A man who admitted he couldn't part with his Havanese puppies will spend 2 years on probation.

Richard Pilicer pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of animal cruelty Thursday morning. Officers seized 121 dogs from his property in Watkins in July.

Most of the dogs were in good shape and social although they were filthy and needed to have their hair trimmed.

In addition to the 2 years probation the judge ordered Pilicer to pay $6,000 to go to the facilities that treated the dogs.

All of the animals have been adopted.
