Broncos React To Latest Von Miller Citation
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- When Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller sacks the opposing QB he often does a dance. Now Miller has been sacked and no one is celebrating.
"Obviously it's something we are not happy about," says head coach John Fox. "Everybody here has an individual responsibility, not only to themselves, but this organization as well as to this football team."
CBS4 learned earlier this week that Miller was pulled over by police for speeding last Thursday morning. A citation in the case states that Miller was driving his mother's BMW and was caught going 38 in a 25 mph zone.
The incident became more serious when officers learned that he was driving with a suspended license. Fellow linebacker and friend Wesley Woodyard spoke with Miller afterwards and was disappointed.
"He's like my little brother so I am going to be tough on him no matter if it's something good or bad." says Woodyard. "I'm always going to tell him to do the right thing."

This incident will add on to his list of troubles. Two years ago he failed a drug test for marijuana and was placed in an NFL substance abuse program.
The following year he was cited for careless driving and no proof of insurance. He then missed his court date and was arrested on failure to appear charges. Just a week later he was suspended by the NFL for six games. Now he has been cited for driving while his license was under restraint.
Miller was not arrested after being pulled over. He was instead released to the custody of his father, who was sitting in the passenger seat of the car.
The summons Miller recieved has an important circled notation on it.
It states "MUST APPEAR IN COURT." That court date is scheduled for Oct. 28.
In March 2012 Von Miller was stopped for speeding in Orange County, Cali. He also failed to appear in court on the appointed date. The result was the loss of bond that was posted.
The Broncos spokesman said he was not aware of the incident in California.
Von Miller's attorney, Mark Schamel with Womble Carlyle, said, "This is a $240, one point speeding ticket for driving 10 miles an hour over the speed limit. Hoping to have this cleared up in the next 24 hours."
