CSU-Pueblo Hangs On To A 41-36 Win Vs. N. Colorado

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - Chris Bonner threw three touchdown passes for Colorado State-Pueblo as the Division II school squeaked out a 41-36 victory against Northern Colorado on Saturday.

Bonner was 20 of 36 for 267 yards, completing his TD passes in the second quarter to give the ThunderWolves (1-0) a 28-23 lead at the half.

Cameron McDondle picked up the only rushing touchdown and final score for CSU-Pueblo in the middle of the fourth quarter.

Tromaine Dennis rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns for the Bears' final scores. His touchdown in the third quarter gave Northern Colorado (1-1) a brief 29-28 lead that was quickly flipped with a 66-yard interception return by CSU-Pueblo's Laron Tarkington.

Seth Lobato was 29 of 45 for 390 yards and three touchdowns for the Bears. Northern Colorado had a chance to score on its final possession of the game, but Lobato's pass on fourth down fell incomplete.
