Cost Of VA Hospital In Aurora Could Be Investigated
AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - The Department of Veterans Affairs may investigate itself about the costs of building the VA Hospital in Aurora.
Colorado Rep. Mike Coffman made the request.
As CBS4 has reported, the construction of the VA Hospital is plagued by cost overruns and delays. The general contractor claims the building will cost more than $1 billion. The VA says it can be done for $604 million.
A recent report by the government found a pattern of mismanagement at similar projects in New Orleans and Las Vegas.
