Fort Carson Holds Service For Soldier Shot Near Bar
FORT CARSON, Colo. (AP) - Fort Carson is holding a memorial service for a Florida soldier who was shot and killed outside a nightclub in nearby Colorado Springs.
The service for 22-year-old Cpl. Deangelo M. Brown of Jacksonville, Fla., will be Tuesday.
Police say Brown was shot early Aug. 18 outside the Circa Nightclub. He was taken to a hospital, where he was declared dead.
Police say they interviewed several witnesses but no arrests have been made.
Brown was a food service specialist with the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, part of the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson.
