DENVER (CBS4)– Denver Public Schools are searching for the suspect or suspects who are stealing sprinkler values.

The DPS Investigations Unit said that 26 FEBCO 2-inch backflow sprinkler irrigation valves have been stolen from DPS property since the beginning of the year.

The values are valued at $800 to $1,500 per unit.

Denver Parks & Rec has also seen an increase in brass valve thefts.

Suspects cut off the valves at the water pipe which caused massive water damage to the building in some cases.
