Aurora Police Investigate Fatal Shooting On Moline Street

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Aurora are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Wednesday morning.

According to Officer Frank Fania, officers received a call about shots fired in the area of East 14th Avenue and Moline Street at approximately 12:32 a.m. When they arrived they couldn't find anybody or evidence of a shooting.

Fania said just after 1 a.m. officers were called to a hospital where two people had brought in another person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim died at the hospital from the wounds.

"Police were able to interview the two parties who transported the victim and determined the shooting happened in the 1400 block of Moline Street," Fania said in a statement. "A crime scene was located and preserved."

Police haven't released a description of the suspect and the name of the victim hasn't been released.
