RTD Bus Collides With Motorcycle, Killing Rider
ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Arvada are investigating a fatal accident between an RTD bus and a motorcycle Monday morning that left the motorcyclist dead.
Police said the motorcyclist was traveling north on Wadsworth Boulevard when he collided with the bus that was going east on 53rd. The man riding the motorcycle died on impact.
There were six people on board the bus but no one on it was hurt. There was some damage done to the bus where the motorcyclist collided with it.
The crash closed parts of Wadsworth and 53rd, causing some major traffic delays during the morning rush hour.
An accident reconstruction team was reviewing the evidence at the scene a few hours after the crash.
The name of the victim so far has not been released.
