Missouri Tennis Star's Body Recovered From Longs Peak

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - Crews have recovered the body of a 20-year-old Missouri man who died in a fall at Rocky Mountain National Park.

The National Park Service says Paul Nahon's body was recovered Sunday morning by helicopter from Longs Peak. His body has been transferred to the Boulder County Coroner's Office.

Nahon died after falling about 150 feet Thursday. Recovery efforts Friday were delayed after another climbed was seriously injured in a separate fall on the 14,000-foot Longs Peak.

Nahon, a 2011 graduate of Glendale High School in Springfield, won state tennis titles in 2010 and 2011 and also held the record for most tennis wins in Missouri Class II high school history with an overall record of 117-7.

He had recently transferred to Colorado College for the upcoming semester.
