Arapahoe County Coroner Says Woman Died From Stab Wounds

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4) - The coroner's office in Arapahoe County has identified a woman who was killed this week possibly by a man who she had a restraining order against.

The office says Katrina Sims, 39, was killed by stab wounds. They said she is also known as Katrina Pacheco.

Officer found her dead in her apartment early Thursday morning.

The murder happened at East Centennial Apartments at 14406 East Fremont Avenue. Arthur William Price was arrested and tentatively faces charges of first-degree murder, assault, violation of a protection order, obstructing government operations and harassment.

Amanda Henry, who lives in the apartment next to Sims, told CBS4 the suspect and the victim were friends.

"She did have a restraining order against him. They had had arguments in the past, and it had been reported as a domestic. She had voiced to me she was afraid of him, however they were kind of drinking buddies. She would let him in and then there would be altercations," Henry told CBS4.

Sims was the mother of three children. None of the children were home at the time of the murder.
