LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) – Thousands of children in need will be starting school off on the right foot with needed school supplies.

The Action Center in Jefferson County handed out all kinds of supplies to struggling families on Monday. The center says the help keeps families from making tough choices when it comes to finances.

The Action Center will be passing out supplies all week to help more than 5,000 families.
