DENVER (AP) - The Colorado Rockies have recalled left-hander Jeff Francis from Triple-A and optioned righty Collin McHugh to Colorado Springs.

Francis was available to pitch out of the bullpen Sunday.

The nine-year veteran is 69-78 with a 4.93 in 216 big league games, all but one of them starts.

He will serve as a reliever for the Rockies.

He was acquired from the New York Mets for Eric Young Jr. on June 18.
