Man Gets Life In Prison For Murder In Broomfield

BROOMFIELD, Colo. (CBS4) - The man who shot and killed a woman at a Broomfield business will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Lawrence Raymond Crouch was sentenced to life plus 57 years after jurors convicted him of murder, attempted murder and attempted arson charges.

Last October Crouch walked into the East of Sweden auto repair shop and shot a woman five times in the chest. Fifty-Six-year-old Mary McGrath died.

Crouch told police he had planned to kill her for about a year because she had taken advantage of the shop's owner.
