State Parks Mark Colorado Day With Free Entry

DENVER (AP) - Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials are celebrating Colorado Day by offering free entry to all 42 state parks Aug. 5.

Colorado Day commemorates when Colorado became a state on Aug. 1, 1876. It traditionally occurs the first Monday of every August.

Although entry to state parks will be free, fees for camping and other activities will still be in effect.
