Hernandez Appointed As Colorado State Patrol Chief
DENVER (AP) - Gov. John Hickenlooper has appointed interim Colorado State Patrol Chief Scott G. Hernandez to be the patrol's next chief.
Hernandez is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and became a State Patrol trooper in 1991.
He was named interim chief of the State Patrol after the retirement of James Wolfinbarger, who stepped down in January, months before his contract was due to expire. Wolfinbarger had told his staff he wanted to pursue new challenges in his professional life.
