Aurora Joins Other Cities In Relaxing Watering Restrictions

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- Aurora has joined other cities in easing restrictions on lawn watering.

Instead of two days a week Aurora Water customers can use their sprinklers three days a week.

Customers still cannot water between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. They also are not allowed to let water run off and puddle up in gutters and driveways.

The Aurora City Council approved the changes on Monday because Aurora's reservoirs are still two-thirds full.

Denver Water eased their water restrictions last month after the snowpack in both of Denver Water's watersheds ended up above 90 percent of the average peak.
