Police Have New Clues In Case Of Missing Fort Morgan Teen

FORT MORGAN, Colo. (CBS4) - Police have new clues and have made new arrests in the case of Kayla Chadwick, a Fort Morgan teen who has been missing for more than a year.

Fort Morgan police confirmed that items have been collected that may be connected to the missing teenager. They're not saying what the items are, but only that they have been sent to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation for testing. Police also say they have not found a body.

Chadwick was last seen in March 2012 after an argument with her boyfriend, Ivan Torralba. He was arrested about 8 months after Chadwick went missing for charges of perjury and attempting to influence a public servant. His mother, Lucila Torralba, was also arrested for the same charges.

Police say Ivan Torralba is now back in jail for marijuana possession and bond violation.

Chadwick's family is desperate for answers. Since her disappearance she has not used her cellphone or social media or made contact with any family or friends.

Ivan Torralba is still in jail. He's not scheduled for court until later in July. His mother is out of jail on bond and was scheduled for a court appearance Tuesday afternoon.
